Lola Loustaunau

Dr. Lola Loustaunau (she/her/ella) is an Assistant Professor at the School for Workers at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. As a activist, teacher, and community engaged scholar focusing on the experiences of migrant workers, Dr. Loustaunau has been conducting research and organizing around the bodily and mental health impacts of precarity and displacement among migrant women, particularly those working in the food system. She also teaches workshops on labor rights, workplace health and safety, and labor organizing for adult learners in the community.  She was VP at Large of Oregon's American Federation of Teachers and is currently a member of United Faculty and Academic Staff AFT 223, Voces de la Frontera, and is a board member of Workers Justice Wisconsin. Born in Argentina, in her time in Wisconsin she has been involved in several local projects around collective liberation, racial, and immigrant justice.
